Description

The Panzerkampfwagen I is a german light tank. Originally intended only as a training tank, its twin machineguns firing 7.92mm armor piercing bullets proved effective against infantry and lightly armored vehicles.

Tips

  • First and most important tip. Do not engage enemy armor.
  • Panzer I's main role is to fight infantry, protect your team assets such as tanks and infantry alike.
  • If you have been spotted by enemy armor, run.
  • Try firing in bursts, as you have two machine guns in your turret, you will need to reload often, this will help to conserve ammo.
  • It is recommended to buy 2 AP ammo belts (S.m.K. Hart) for it so that you can swap between them to force a reload. To do this, buy it through the ribbon of the tank.
  • The AP belt is effective against infantry vehicles, such as jeeps, bikes, trucks, and armored half-tracks.
  • It is usually highly recommended that you buy a camo for german tanks to help with ambushes. However, the Panzer I is an exception, due to its extremely inferior performance.
  • While the Panzer I is ineffective against most (if not all) enemy armor, it can be used as a mobile anti-aircraft gun, And with good cover and planning, the Panzer I can be deadly to enemy recon fighters.
  • The Panzer I's only weakspots, an ammo rack, and an internal fuel tank, are all located on the right side of the tank (or left side on the illustration to the right). Try to hide them from enemy MG tanks (T-38 and M2A2) when you're engaging one.
