Tips
- SU-85 is a decently mobile medium TD. Utilize this by often relocating (and especially after getting a tank kill) to gain an advantage.
- SU-85's gun mantlet isn't reliable, resulting in the cannon breech being extremely fragile - try to keep some distance to reduce the chance of this happening.
- SU-85 is designed to specialize in tank-killing. It has no coaxial MG and has a very poor gun depression. Engaging infantry is generally not advised.
- Furthermore, the lacking of gun depression means the SU-85 fares poorly against small ridges and bumps in the terrain. Avoid such landscapes if possible.
- SU-85's front is sloped, which allows it to ram some of the tanks and flip them for easy kills.
- SU-85's main gun is the hardest hitting out of all MTDs. However, being an MTD it still lacks hitpoint, and avoiding head-on combat with heavier tanks is highly advised.
